“I feel like I was hit by a Tank” - the words from an opposing football player when young Michael got the ball and ran to the endzone (running through anything or anyone that got in his way).

From there, the nickname stuck, soon becoming a badge of honor. And as his friends started having their own children, Tank became Uncle Tank.

The lesson we can all take away from this? Don’t try and block Uncle Tank from his goals. And when one of those goals became starting his own restaurant, a place where family and friends could make their own memories, even a worldwide pandemic couldn’t get in his way.

The restoration and revival of this longstanding Somerset landmark has been nearly two years in the making, but we are now ready to welcome you into our evergrowing family!
